Weekend Wedding
We are trying to steer away from anything too formal or too traditional. So switch off your wedding preconceptions and join us for an awesome weekend away!
Friday night = bring & braai / meat & greet. So if you can, come through on the friday already! Kitchen facilities are available and we'll try to organise some sides to go with your braai! (Drinks and meat for the Friday night on own account) Wine and beer will be provided for on Saturday, but there will be an optional cash bar for those that want to drink something else. Breakfast options are also available for both Saturday and Sunday at R45pp and R70pp respectively. We promise we won't leave you hungry! (The bride obviously planned this wedding around the food anyway!)
Saturday is the Wedding day! The ceremony takes place in the forest (weather permitting) about 500m from the main drag. We'll start around 14:30, for those of you that are only coming through on the Saturday.
Accommodation
The farm offers rustic, but comfortable rooms, ideal for sharing. Most rooms are hostel style, with communal bathrooms. Rooms can sleep up to 4 people at R100pppn. Choose your roommates wisely! Please let us know who you would like to share with if you choose this option. If however you are not family or don't know many other people coming to the wedding, you are welcome to have a 4 sleeper for 2 people at R200pppn. Please bring your own towels and bedding. But remember the idea of the rooms is just for sleeping and getting ready! For those that need their space, there are plenty of options in Uilkraal vallei and surrounding areas 2-5km away. Dress Code
Smart casual, but laid-back (I feel an Alanis Morissette song coming on) Hint: the groom is wearing dark denim jeans and the bride is ditching the heels...it's a farm/forest wedding after all!
